About Silver Foxes
Flower Power Foxes Rabbitry is located just outside of Peoria, IL. My focus is preservation and improvement of the rare, heritage Silver Fox rabbit. This beautiful, unique breed is known for its long fur coat. It is the only breed that sports a "stand up" coat - when the coat is stroked from back to front, the fur stands in place till stroked back. Although it is the second oldest American breed (approved by ARBA in 1925) the Silver Fox is on the American Livestock Breeds Conservancy critical list.
The Silver Fox is a larger breed with senior does weighing between 10 - 12 pounds and senior bucks 9 - 11 pounds. They are solid black at birth and it is fun to watch as they grow and develop silvering as well as personalities...and they have great personality! They love attention and do not mind being picked up and cuddled or carried. Bucks tend to be bigger attention-seekers than does and each have a distinct "persona".
About My Foxes
Flower Power Foxes is an ARBA registered rabbitry and I am a member of the American Rabbit Breeders Association, National Silver Fox Rabbit Club, Illinois State Rabbit Breeders Association, and the Peoria Area Rabbit Breeders Association. I attend shows in the central IL area and occasionally have Silver Fox for sale. I do not ship animals but can deliver them to any show I am attending. I try to keep the For Sale page updated, but feel free to email me about availability.
